The \u2018AAA\u2019 certificate was awarded by the cyclos-HTP Institute in Aachen, which tests and verifies recyclability. There were two particular reasons for this excellent rating: firstly, it is extremely easy for consumers to remove the sleeve. Secondly, it is detached by exerting mechanical pressure. This is achieved either when the consumer crumples the packaging or by mechanical pressure during waste separation.<\/p>\r\n<p>Packaging materials are often problematic in the recycling process, especially when they consist of several material components. The mono-material solution for cups and trays is yet another innovative approach by Fernholz. With the option of using PP, PS or PET in production, this packaging can be printed immediately after thermoforming. Fernholz has therefore succeeded in developing direct prints that \u2013 with their color fastness and brilliance \u2013 have no trouble competing with conventional labels, tags or sleeves. The mono-material solution is a major step forward in the recycling process.<\/p>\r\n<p>Fernholz will attend the EMPACK 2023 in Hertogenbosch on 5 and 6 April. Empack is the largest trade fair for packaging technology in the Benelux countries and a unique business platform for products, services and solutions from the world of packaging.
