Full house – No jumper!

This is how flight attendants describe the situation when a plane is fully booked and all passengers actually show up. In a figurative sense, this was the case at Fernholz in May 2024.

For the first time since the completion of the expansion investments and the recent commissioning of a new processing machine at the Schkopau film site, all machines were running at 100% capacity throughout the entire month of May. The result: Production was at an all-time high – more than ever before.

This is due to Fernholz’s growth in new markets for PP films as well as in its traditional market for PS films. Speaking of PS: Many are increasingly critical of the use of PS in the packaging industry. However, Fernholz sees good opportunities here, e.g. by using rPS, also from a sustainability perspective, and has therefore worked to establish itself in distant markets such as France and Spain.

With this in mind, Fernholz is planning its next expansion steps for a successful future.
