What is more, the fatty product is a real challenge for the film, especially if herbs are added in vinegar and oil. The polystyrene will have to withstand significantly more than in other applications.

Among Fernholz’s specialties is the production of FFS thermoforming sheets, and the company now supplies around 75% of quark processors with this product. Our reputation on the market has improved steadily – especially due to film optimizations over recent years – and it would certainly be fair to say that the Fernholz FFS film is now considered a benchmark. In addition, we are making increasing use of rPS material in film production to improve resource efficiency in the manufacture of this bulk product.

Darüber hinaus ist das fetthaltige Produkt, besonders in Kombination mit Kräuterzugaben in Essig und Öl, eine echte Herausforderung für die Folie. Hier muss das Polystyrol deutlich mehr abkönnen, als bei anderen Anwendungen.

Fernholz hat sich unter anderem auf die Herstellung von FFS-Tiefziehfolien spezialisiert und  beliefert mittlerweile rund 75 % der Quarkverarbeiter mit diesem Produkt. Insbesondere durch Folienoptimierungen in den letzten Jahren ist unser Standing im Markt stetig gewachsen und man kann die Fernholz-FFS-Folie nun durchaus als Benchmark bezeichnen. Mittlerweile setzen wir auch verstärkt rPS-Material bei der Folienherstellung ein, um auch dieses Massenprodukt ressourcenschonender zu produzieren.
